- This is the story of Tony Vilar, an extraordinary figure, An extremely popular singer in almost all of Latin America throughout the 1960s, he arrived in Argentina as a child in the early fifties. Born in the town of Carolei, in the Calabria region of Italy, he left for Buenos Aires with his parents. He was soon very successful as a singer of popular Italian songs and achieved stardom on radio and TV. He also made concert appearances at Argentina's main musical events. Then he disappeared from everyone. This was Tony Vilar’s past. When he reappears he is a secondhand car dealer in New York.
