- Young Dutch artist Meneer Chrome (Ewan McGregor) has been summoned to a secluded country estate, where Thomas Smithers (Pete Postlethwaite) has commissioned him to create an extravagant garden. The instructions for its creation come from the evil Fitzmaurice (Richard E.
