    • Three elderly men settle in a house near ‘’La Belle Étoile’’, a former catholic correctional center where they were detained as children. Yet, they were not delinquents, simply poor children from the working class, often neglected or abandoned by their families. Through their stories, we discover this terrible place, as well as the psychological violence, physical torture and sexual abuse they endured as children.
After a lifetime of silent suffering, they decide to break the silence by complaining to the Catholic Authorities. The main characters are then joined by other victims of this center. Together, they testify to the Catholic Listening Unit and demand public recognition and financial compensation for the suffering they went through. The film shows how the protagonists voices are gradually freed, and how their friendship helps them survive this traumatic past, while the Catholic Institution fails to provide real support and reparation.
