- Synopsis
- Many years after John’s traumatic, childhood encounter at an abandoned house on Nanga Mai Hill, a heinous crime wave sweeps through his hometown in outback Australia. Now a police officer, he is assigned to investigate the large number of child molestation cases in his town with his lifelong friend and police partner, Malcolm. With the high number of cases and the lack of police manpower at his station, outside help is called in from the city.
  
  When John is arrested after being identified as the culprit, it is up to Malcolm to try and prove his innocence. However with John’s DNA at all the crime scenes and a damning psychiatric report from their childhood friend Nicole, Malcolm’s trust in his partner may be misplaced. Facing opposition from the town and the authorities, Malcolm breaks John out of jail to prove his innocence when he concludes the evidence does not add up.
  
  Returning to Nanga Mai Hill, John and Malcolm encounter something unimaginable - John’s doppelgänger. Malcolm is kidnapped by John’s double and taken to a parallel dimension via a supernatural anomaly at Nanga Mai Hill. John has no choice but to return to town and get help. He recruits the help of Mandu, Malcolm’s uncle and a skilled aboriginal tracker.
  
  With the authorities hot on their trails, John and Mandu go to Nanga Mai Hill and follow Alternate John’s tracks into another dimension. After navigating their way in an alternate version of their hometown, they rescue Malcolm and kidnap the doppelgänger to bring him back to their world to prove John’s innocence.
  
  However when they return to Nanga Mai Hill to return to their world, they find themselves in a time-loop that is feeding back onto itself along with the police who are hunting them. The ultimate sacrifice will need to be made in order to break the time-loop and save the children of the small town.
