    • Synopsis
    • Ruth Seiler-Schwab. A girl that shows her parents how a simple farmer's family can also survive with six girls. An idealist who wants to lead farmers out of misery with communist ideas. A young woman who secretly leaves the family farm for love. A gardener who pays a high price for her political and social stance, but who realises her progressive projects with great dedication and against great resistance.
Convinced of anthroposophist and alternative educational methods, she founds a resident school in Seeland for adolescents from so-called difficult backgrounds. The "Schlössli" in Ins even today sets an example for many progressive youth homes at home and abroad.
Ruth Seiler is now 88 years old. She has led an independent and dedicated life, always conscious that many others are worse off, and that change is possible. She has dedicated her life to showing that self-realisation is not the privilege of the present. In spite of this, or because of this, even today she doesn't consider her story to be anything special, but instead self-explanatory.
