    • Synopsis
    • Christina recovers from a miscarriage after yet another unsuccessful IVF attempt. While Yorgos, her husband, and his mother, Niki, pressure her to have a child, Christina realizes that having children is not what she truly wants.
Her cousin-in-law, Stavroula, now pregnant in her third child, has sacrificed her career as a talented painter in order to raise her children. When her friend and art curator Lydia comes back into her life, Stavroula’s longing for Lydia makes her re-examine her own needs.
Niki returns to her marital home in the village, in order to re-bury the bones of her late husband. She there faces the grief about her husband’s death, her loneliness and the difficulty to ‘walk’ in a patriarchal environment without a man next to her.
All three women are just on the poignant verge of realizing their own personal sacrifices and concealed desires, and struggle to find their own authentic response to their individual awakening.
