    • Synopsis
    • Two billion tyres are produced annually, and they are almost impossible to get rid of. The lifecycle of a tyre is ‘carbon, carbon, carbon, carbon, carbon’ and encapsulates all of the wickedest environmental and health issues in one, unavoidable product. Without us even thinking about it, tyres rule and are ruining our world. Polluting our oceans, our air and the food we eat, the ever-growing number of tyres in our world represents an enormous human health and environmental challenge. Vast areas of rainforest are deforested, displacing thousands of indigenous peoples, while poor working conditions, illegal and unregulated burning and recycling creates a life of misery for our fellow humans.

But there is hope. Sparked by the case of the mass Coho Salmon die off in Oregon, across the world, there is a growing movement to address these issues. From the scientists, entrepreneurs, innovators and activists to the earth defenders, indigenous groups, environmental lawyers and policy makers, they are all coming together to increase our knowledge, change policies and find alternative solutions.

Our film will launch campaigns of direct action, promote the immediate solutions and support change-makers in the film to amplify their work. Together we will get the world talking about tyres.
