    • Synopsis
    • It was supposed to be a lovely family vacation.

      In the seaside town of Pervalka, Marija (30) embarks on a family holiday with her mother Aldona (50) and grandmother Laima (68). The trip, organised by Maria’s mother to strengthen family bonds before Marija's new family commitments and Laima's upcoming film shoot. No one could have expected that just before the beginning of the holiday, grandmother would announce the end of her career, Maria would experience the break up and Aldona would mix up her seminar dates, bringing the work to the seaside. But vacation must go on.
      As tensions rise and conflicts ensue between the women, Marija seeks solace in surfing lessons. Here she encounters two charming foreigners with whom she tries to escape her loss at least for a moment, but it doesn’t help.
      While witnessing her mother and grandmother's disagreements about grandmother’s wish to cancel her career and mother’s overworking issue that already became a drinking problem as well, Maria notices that her grandmother has early signs of dementia and her mother has a crush on her colleague, that she denies herself.
      Admist the family drama the town is abuzz with news of a missing boy named Nikita. While some guests participate in the search efforts, others indulge in gossip and speculation. Everyone is affected – no one wants to ruin their holidays, though the thought of not helping is doing it for them anyway. Only when their family dog disappears they meet the absurdity while asking people searching for the boy – did they see their lost dog?
      It’s a story of search for new beginning you crave, just doesn’t know how to get there, yet.
