Origin Pictures is an independent production company making bold and ambitious drama for both film and television. Credits include MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM, THE AWAKENING, and THE FIRST GRADER for film, and THE CRIMSON PETAL & THE WHITE, DEATH COMES TO PEMBERLEY and JAMAICA INN for television. The company was launched in 2008 by David Thompson, having run BBC Films for over a decade.Current productions include:WOMAN IN GOLD (The Weinstein Company) starring Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Bruhl.
