Description
The Black Screen Office’s goals are to make Canada’s screen industries practices and policies equitable and free of anti-Black racism; to work collaboratively with decision-makers to develop tools and strategies that enable system-level engagement and accountability; and to empower Black Canadians working within the screen industries to thrive and share their stories.
Objective
To support our delegation of 6 producers attending the Festival de Cannes, by helping them to meet co-producers, sales agents, film commissioners, distributors ... anyone who will help them advance their projects. To promote our groundbreaking study in Canada, Being Seen: Directives for Creating Authentic and Inclusive Content. To connect with other like-minded organizations and individuals.
