Description

Founded in 1999 in Buenos Aires, started in commercials and music videos with rapidly growing budgets until the production and release of “The Bottom of the Sea” in 2003, quickly reaching its objective of producing commercial feature-length films.Our first film, written and directed by Damián Szifrón, won three prizes at the Mar del Plata film festival and more than twenty internationally (including San Sebastián) and was the highest grossing Argentinean independent film of the year, also finding distribution in the United States.Aeroplano opened in 2004 a U.S. office to produce and sell its services in that market.Since 2005 Aeroplano focused exclusively on features films using it's reputation as a company that seeks and launches new talent to attract some of the most promising argentine filmmakers, reputation that we hold and nourish until today.We strive to expand this vision and provide a real bridge between Latin America and the world, finding and developing stories with a
