- Synopsis
- n Basilicata, on the slopes of Mount Vulture, stands the immense vineyard of the Favuzzi winery. The lonely and gruff Enotrio Favuzzi is alone at the helm of the company, tending the vines and producing a fine red wine: Aglianico. Thanks to his triumph at the World Wine Award, the success of his wine has transcended national borders. The stainless and powerful Laura Rush, manager of a luxury wine shop in New York, has started a campaign to buy Italian wineries to unify under her brand name and wants to get her hands on Enotrio's wine as well. Laura Rush's trump card is the young and ambitious Nico, her most trusted man, whom she sends to Italy to win Enotrio's trust and convince him to sell his wine to them. But another person is interested in speculating on Enotrio's vineyards: his brother Luca, who, deep in debt, insists that the land be sold and they can both make a profit by building a luxury resort. Enotrio, however, is firm in his position. Things are destined to tangle with the arrival in the village of the beautiful Anna Monti and her daughter. Anna is a former top model with whom Enotrio has always been madly in love, but unfortunately her brother Luca is also eager to win her over. And for his part, Nico thinks he has found in Anna the trump card to finally convince Enotrio to give up his vineyards.
