- Freeing himself from a crippled submarine in Pearl Harbor a young sailor, BILLY, is horrified to discover that he's utterly alone and that ALL THE WATER OF THE MIGHTY OCEANS ARE MISSING.
  
  As he wonders through the empty cities of Hawaii in search of answers, Billy mind drifts back to his first car, first love, running away from home as a child, among other things and determines that he must be dead.
  
  Determined to return to his birthplace, Billy continues east across the dry ocean floor to Los Angeles, but doesn't notice ‘the others’ following him. Will he be overrun by his ghosts or do they have something to share with him?
