    • Synopsis
    • The parishioner’s expectations of a pastor’s daughter in the 1960’s were simple: She aught to be less cheeky than her girl friends, less funny and less selfish. The filmmaker Angela Zumpe, who grew up in the rectory, had tensions with this and now guides the search of her and her protagonists for answers on the question if the ‘Myth of the Parsonage' is alive today. In her search she encounters funny, sad, absurd stories just when many challenges have to be faced by the present pastors and their children in the year of 500 years Reformation 2017.

      The installation 'Pop-up-Pastors House'
The installation is made out of typical elements of a physical representation of a traditional pastors house, with a library, a living garden, a framed painting, a kitchen and a pastors room - adapted and with added value to connect to the topic of the project. It is concepted in collaboration with the renown architecture office Saygel&Schreiber and designed and produced by students of the University of Applied Scienes in Dessau. The installation is mobile and concepted to travel around throughout 2017. Interactive elements as well as Augmented Reality features will enrich the physical world of the pastor house. Short films and animations about the drollery of the pastors house and interviews with pastors children give insight into the upbringing and values of a pastors home. A model village with a pastor house asks the user to reflect the change of the role of the pastor in todays society and what future it has.
