- Synopsis
- Walking up to the source of river Loire, the Mont Gerbier de Jonc, the aspect of which makes us think of Brueghel’s Babel Tower, and then go down the river. To stop at every bridge and to meet the locals. To invite them to tell us their story, their bond with the river and the other border. To allow them to express themselves about themselves. To look at them, to listen to them, to film them. To record the sounds and pictures of the water, the bridges’ architecture, the river’s memory, all the elements of the surrounding nature. To let us be taken away with all our attention, guided. A whole flow of emotions, from the anecdote to the eminently significant. To arrive at the estuary, to question the world one last time. From this trip, we will leave with an amount of pictures, impressions, words and sounds, a collection of voices and faces that will, added to one another and mixed together, remind us of what Babel would be nowadays : humanity using different words to tell us one identical story, our History.
