    • Synopsis
    • Anita is trying to construct the perfect family. She tries to use her authority to create a better world, but her obsession with perfection leads to tragedy. On behalf of Social Service, she takes custody of the daughter of Polish immigrants. The parents are left feeling helpless in the face of the bureaucratic machine that has broken up their family. Desperate, they decide to act beyond the law. Can they save each other in this deadlock?

The foster family fights for the love of their new daughter. All of the characters in ‘Strange Heaven’ are acting in good faith for the wellbeing of nine year old Ula. It is she, however, who pays the ultimate price and becomes the victim of all these best intentions.

Extreme emotions. Culture clash. A question of boundaries of intimacy in a modern society.
