    • Synopsis
    • Two parallel narratives. A Burmese man illegally working in Bangkok as a guide and occasional a drug trafficker is trying to make quick cash to redeem his teenage sister who was sold to whorehouse by a smuggling syndicate. A young Burmese woman is risking her life by escorting young Burmese girls overseas, hoping to exchange her own Taiwanese Identification Card. Unfolded through two parallel narratives, this is a border story woven between Tolstoy, amphetamines and Durian.San Mei, a young Burmese woman who was assigned a job by the smuggling syndicate to fetch A Hong’s sister, had been taking her risk by smuggling Burmese teenage girls overseas, hoping to exchange for her Taiwanese Identification Card promised by the gang leader for years. After accomplishing the last assignment, she realized the dream to gain the sense of security is hopeless.
