- Synopsis
- "During a conference at a remote hotel situated in the heart of Auvergne's volcano country, Paul Neville, a parisian telesurveillance engineer, agoraphobic, gets involved in an affair with a mysterious woman staying in the next room.
  His encounter with this woman allows him to push aside his fear of open spaces and invites her to rendezvous in the countryside.
  But on the day that the lovers decide to leave everything behind them and live their newfound passion for each other, the young woman disappears.
  On his return to Paris, his time is shared between his love of his family —Christie, his wife and their daughter, Audrey —, and a police investigation into the disappearance.
  Paul is troubled and doesn't understand what is happening.
  He decides, therefore, to carry out his own enquiry which turns into more of a quest of his own existence. He finds himself back in his natal region, not far from the volcanos of Auvergne.
