- Emma, 14, suffers from the death of her father whom she profoundly loved. She resents her mother for pretending her father never existed and in his palace, is now hosting a new boyfriend at home. To express her bitterness, Emma refuses to speak to him and regularly insults the man who replaced her father. The conflict between daughter and mother escalates as Emma comes under the toxic influence of her new friend Odile, a manipulative teenager, who tries to convince Emma that her mother killed her father to live with her new boyfriend, and that she has to pay for it.
