- Synopsis
- In the rural town of Armería (west of Mexico), Lala (24) -a young woman with a mental disability- has been in a chicken coop for 14 years chained by her grandmother Virginia (60s), for believing her possessed by the devil due to the condition of Lala. Blanca (17), grandmother Virginia and then Aristeo (22), her brother in drug trafficking, abuses her sister Lala, steals money from Aristeo's "job", and flees with Lala to Tijuana in search of her mother Rosaura ( 48), whom they have not seen for years. While they are chased by Aristeo and his drug gangs, in parallel, we know Rosa's life, since the birth of Lala.
