- Synopsis
- Since the time of its founding, the campus of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia has been the scene of hundreds of human rights violations against students and professors. Many were killed for participating in protests against State policies, while others fell unnoticed while simply inhabiting the campus in the midst of the conflict.
  
  LA GRIETA is a documentary that uses fictional tools to narrate the murders of five students inside the Universidad Nacional. Through a tour of the buildings and faculties frequented by the murdered students, together with archival material and the victims’ "first-person" accounts, the film will reveal the long and violent conflict maintained for decades between students and the State, turning the university campus —conceived as the great dream of public education in Colombia— into a pantheon of fallen students, into a wounded body in which the cracks are evident.
