    • Synopsis
    • Paul is an international photographer. He is restless. Never staying in one place long enough to form attachments. He travels the world to capture an elusive image, a face, a memory, perfection. He is jaded and world weary, his work is beautiful, but he is never fully satisfied. His latest assignment has led him to the Philippines.

Years ago, on a secluded Australian Beach, 16-year-old Paul found his ultimate moment. He had just set up the perfect shot with his brand-new camera when Anna walked into frame. It was love at first sight. Over the long hot summer, in stolen moments, Paul and his Italian girl become lovers. Making memories to last a lifetime, unaware of the pain of heartbreak to come. For Paul, no-one has ever lived up to the memory of Anna and that perfect summer holiday.

Seventeen years later, Anna is now a world-renowned cognitive specialist. Her focus, her career in the ensuing years. Anna is visiting the Philippines to present a key-note speech at an international conference in Cebu, but she steals a moment for herself to explore.

In a chance in a million, in a busy Filipino market, Pauls catches a glimpse of a familiar face through his lens. He sharpens his focus, is it her? Hope propels Paul to action, the challenge to get to her before he loses her in the crowds. Paul frantically searches. She disappears into the chaos. Years of longing reflect in Paul’s eyes, as he wanders aimlessly through the sea of happy faces. And then, he hears his name, quietly spoken, Paul? He turns. It’s her, his Anna, all grown up and still as breathtaking. He cannot let her slip away again. He convinces a reluctant Anna to go on an adventure with him.

The travellers spend the day exploring the beauty of the baroque sixteenth century town, their principles on fidelity, religion, and morality clash. But the old attraction flares. The night they spend together will change everything and Paul’s long held beliefs about love and relationships will be challenged.
