      Blind, brain damaged, and locked under a Conservatorship, BECCA
      MEADOWS is a prisoner in her own home. With round-the-clock
      caregivers dictating her every move, Becca and her husband JEFF’s
      life is anything but ordinary.
      When TOM SCHMIDT, her Conservator, denies Becca an increase to
      her meager allowance from her trust fund, she finally snaps.
      Becca searches for a lawyer to take on her case against Tom and the
      Conservatorship. She is rejected by every law firm i n town until she
      stumbles upon GERRITY, an inexperienced but eager attorney who is
      willing to become her David against Goliath.
      In an impossible-to-win two-day court battle, Tom’s legal team paints
      Jeff as a jobless, homeless, opportunist a nd brings into question
      Becca’s competency. Becca soon cracks under the stress of the trial
      and retreats inward where she reconnects with her twelve-year-old
      self.
      This DOPPELGÄNGER, created in the gloomy Sinkhole of Becca’s mind,
      takes her on an emotional journey through her memories. Together
      they uncover the truth about Jeff’s motives, her mother’s role in
      Becca being locked under the Conservatorship, and the key to her
      freedom.
      But when Becca realizes her Doppelganger is determined to keep her
      in the Sinkhole, she climbs desperately back to reality and challenges
      the Judge on his ruling. After citing her rights as defined by the
      Americans with Disabilities Act, the Judge agrees to let her pick a
      new guardian.
      Becca emerges from the courthouse victorious. She now has the will
      to keep fighting and advocating for her freedom. No matter how
      3many years it will take.
