- Laiping is a producer drifting in Beijing for a few years. He hasn’t achieved anything yet by the Chinese New Year. To maintain a successful image of himself, he bought two packs of fake brand cigarettes as gifts on his way home. He has been dreaming about becoming a director but lacks opportunity. Feeling guilty about his fake gift, he decides to adapt the story into a film and direct it by himself. In the next new year, he took a film crew to his hometown village. To his surprise, his family and friends have dressed up and some got their hair perm for the shooting. Nobody listens to his commands on the scene. And the shooting goes out of control…
