- Synopsis
- Antonio is a young man with Asperger Syndrome, one of the autism spectrum conditions (ASD), and his life was not like that of any child. Misunderstood and marginalized, he grew up unable to connect in a good way with the people around him.
  Until he entered the world of nature and animals. There he discovered a passion that time would only intensify. There he found a kingdom in which differences were celebrated and each person's conditions were respected.
  Thus, he became a bugger, a fan of animals, their characteristics and the ecosystems they inhabit. And his knowledge began to deepen to the point of knowing more than his own mentors.
  Then, the harmony that Antonio found in the animal kingdom gave way to a young man who was more confident in himself and more respected by others, who were surprised by his great capacity, intelligence and knowledge. The bugs went from hobby to rescue: animals gave him a way to connect with people, a way to understand others and make himself understood.
  Thus, Antonio became known in his circle as “el Bichero”. And Bichero emerged, the documentary series that combines the adventure of a young man with Asperger's Syndrome and his deep fascination with animals with a reflection on diversity and the nature of human beings.
  Bichero occurs in two simultaneous narrative planes: on the one hand, the driver immerses himself in a natural environment with the mission of finding and photographing one of those animals that are not easily seen by people and that, therefore, are targeted. of your deepest admiration and empathy; On the other hand, what we will learn about the different species will allow us to delve into reflections on the human condition and the ways in which we relate, in order to improve coexistence.
  Antonio will consult experts, find clues on the ground, meet other animals and photograph the most impressive animals on the American continent.
  But it will also reflect on what we can learn and transfer to our lives from animal behavior.
  Bichero is a series with particularities: not only is it hosted by a young man with Asperger Syndrome, but it is made so that all people with ASD can enjoy it. The production has an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists in ASD who guide the production, production and editing of this content.
