    • Synopsis
    • Welcome to the small swampy town of Jerome, Louisiana where it's graduation time for the High School Class of 1959. But on the last day of school, five students learn that they have failed their final English essay and are facing summer school. Luckily, their teacher graciously gives these five students from different cliques (the jock, the girl next door, the nerd, the easy girl, and the cool guy) a second chance if they work together over the weekend to complete one final project of their choice.

Despite the conflicts among the group, they are inspired by a 1950's horror classic to spend the evening alone at a secluded farm to write their own horror story. But crazy circumstances and bad weather intervene resulting in their discovery of an old, mysterious and vacant church deep in the South Louisiana swamp. It is here where nothing seems to make sense and where each is forced to face their biggest fears.

'1959' is a feature-length, Alfred Hitchcock style psychological thriller with modern day horror and thrills filmed entirely within southern parishes of the eerie, yet beautiful landscape of South Louisiana, USA.
