- Synopsis
- The film tells the story of a complicated love, based on the poignant, emotional, and tragic memories of Zofia Szablewska from the pre-war period of her life in Nowosioło, as well as on the emerging post-war order in The Polish People’s Republic. In 1945, after a long ordeal, Zofia finds herself in a former German villa in Wrocław called Two Eagles House. Jan Liski, an officer of the Security Office, who was assigned the house, offers her a room. Zofia constantly revisits memories of her native Borderlands, the estate in Nowosioło and her great love for a Polish settler – Antoni Szablewski. Officer Liski, risking his career and life for Zofia, hopes that the woman will finally understand that he loves her. Can feelings develop between a UB officer and a repatriate from the former Borderlands of the Republic of Poland?
